Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School, commonly known as PRESEC-Legon, has emerged victorious in the 2026 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), claiming an impressive ninth title in a thrilling grand finale.

For the first time, PRESEC had claimed a clear lead.

However, the competition was still fierce.

Accra Academy pushed back in Round Four, skyrocketing to 30 points while St Augustine’s advanced to 27 points.

But PRESEC stood firm, extending their lead to 34 points.

As the final round approached, the pressure was palpable for all three schools.

PRESEC ultimately added six more points, wrapping up at 40 points, while Accra Academy finished with 33 and St Augustine’s accumulated 27 points.

The six-point margin secured PRESEC’s victory, etching the Legon boys into history as nine-time NSMQ champions.
