Two Arrested Over Alleged Plot to Kill Susu Collector

The Madina Divisional Police Command has taken two individuals into custody concerning a suspected plan to kill a Susu collector at the Botwe Taxi Rank.

The arrested men, Abubakar Altine and Eric Tettey Adejetey, were detained on September 4, 2026, following police action based on intelligence that led to an ambush in Botwe Old Town.

As reported by Adom Online and shared by Ghana Nkomo, the suspects were caught while allegedly attempting to execute their scheme against Esther Dankwa, the target of their plot.

Initial inquiries suggest that Altine was in debt to Dankwa and facing ongoing demands to repay the money owed.

“He subsequently allegedly conspired with Adejetey to arrange her assassination,” the report said.

The two suspects were arraigned before the Adenta Magistrate Court on September 7, 2026. Their pleas were not taken, and the court remanded them into police custody.

They are expected to reappear before the court on September 22, 2026.

Accra Regional Head of Public Affairs, Chief Superintendent Juliana Obeng, said investigations are ongoing and further developments will be communicated in due course.
