Two Arrested in Wa Over 192 Wraps of Suspected Cocaine
The Upper West Regional Police Command has made significant strides in combatting drug-related crimes by arresting two individuals connected to the trafficking of suspected cocaine.
The suspects, 26-year-old Abdulai Isaac, who works as a driver’s mate, and Iddrisu Kamaldeen, were apprehended after police received credible intelligence regarding the transportation of illicit substances from Kumasi to Wa, specifically through the Bole enclave.
On September 6, 2026, police conducted surveillance along the identified route and intercepted Abdulai Isaac at the ESP Bus Station in Wa. A search of his backpack uncovered 192 newly packaged compressed wraps, which tested positive for cocaine.
During questioning, Isaac implicated Iddrisu Kamaldeen as a customer, leading to Kamaldeen’s arrest. He later acknowledged his connection with Isaac.
