Seven Police Officers Interdicted Over Alleged Extortion
The Ghana Police Service has taken significant action by suspending seven of its personnel in response to a troubling allegation involving extortion within a patrol team located in Accra. This decision underscores the Service’s commitment to maintaining integrity and accountability among its ranks.
The officers facing this serious allegation include Inspector Courage Boateng, General Sergeant Stephen Addo, General Corporal Moses Anyravi, General Corporal Prosper Adiabo, General Lance Corporal Samuel Anolcye, General Constable Henrietta Coleman, and General Constable Bernard Amoako. Their actions, as reported, involved demanding money from a victim and coercing him to withdraw cash from an Automated Teller Machine (ATM).
