Companies Should Organize Boxing Matches For Beefing Artistes – Mr Drew Proposes
Ghanaian afrobeat star Mr Drew has shared a wild but interesting idea on how companies can cash in on celebrity beefs.
Speaking in a recent interview, the ‘Mood’ hitmaker said instead of artistes dissing each other on social media and in songs, brands should invest in organizing boxing matches for them to settle their differences physically and make money.
“Companies should invest in setting up boxing matches for beefing artistes to fight and win some cash,” – Mr Drew said.

According to him, beef is part of showbiz, but it often ends with just Twitter rants and subliminal shots. If it’s turned into a controlled sports event like celebrity boxing, it would be more entertaining, more profitable, and less toxic.

He explained that artistes can sign contracts, get into the ring with gloves, fight for rounds, win prize money, and still hug after. Fans will get entertainment, brands will get visibility, and artistes will get paid.
The idea is already popular internationally. In the UK and US, YouTubers and musicians like KSI, Logan Paul, and Chris Brown have made millions from celebrity boxing and exhibition fights.
In Ghana, where beefs between Shatta Wale vs Stonebwoy, Amerado vs Lyrical Joe, Strongman vs Medikal, and others always trend, many fans think Mr Drew’s idea could actually work.
