Following the arrest, two victims reported to the police and positively identified two of the suspects as part of a three-man gang who robbed them at gunpoint.

The robbers made away with two Yamaha scooter motorbikes valued at GH¢30,000.00 and GH¢32,000.00 respectively, and threatened to kill the victims if they reported the incident to the police.
Police say the suspects admitted to the robbery and revealed that the weapon used was given to them by a contact in Bawku who serves as their source of weapon supply and safe keeping.
A search conducted at the houses of suspects Abdul-Rashid Adamu, Apiiga Alebena and Bilal Adabode revealed:

All seven suspects have since been remanded into police custody by the Bolgatanga Circuit Court. They are expected to reappear on 23rd September, 2026.
Meanwhile, police say efforts have been intensified to identify and arrest the said weapon supplier in Bawku and to dismantle the entire network.
