Van Vicker Sues Lil Win For Defamation And Demands GH¢10 Million In Damages
Ghanaian superstar actor Joseph Van Vicker has dragged fellow actor Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win to court for defamation of character.
In a Writ of Summons filed at the High Court of Justice, Accra, on October 10, 2026, with Suit No. GT/0032/2027, Van Vicker is suing Lil Win over a video publication headlined “LIL WIN BANS VAN VICKER FROM ACTING IN KUMASI!”

What Happened?
According to the Statement of Claim sighted by this blog, Lil Win in a Twi video alleged that Van Vicker had lied against him, disrespected Wizy Empire Production, failed to show up for a movie role after accepting it, and refused to answer his calls including 5 missed calls.
The translated English version in the suit quotes Lil Win saying:
“Our own brother, Van Vicker has lied again against me… You have offended your own grandfather of all people, dishonored Wizy Empire Production… That is a lie! He is going to seek people’s sentiments in order to counter me. He is lying… Since I was born till date, I have never seen a white man that lies so much like my own grandson, Van before.”
Lil Win also threatened in the video that unless Van Vicker apologizes by saying “Kojo, my brother I am sorry,” he would be banned from his new Hollywood-standard movie titled “Journey To Africa.”

Van Vicker’s Case
Van Vicker, who describes himself in the suit as a distinguished Ghanaian pan-African actor, film director, CEO of Sky + Orange Productions and an LLB holder from Wisconsin International University College in 2026, says the words are libelous and defamatory.
He argues that Lil Win’s publication meant and was understood to mean that:
a) He has a habit of accepting roles but failing to show up
b) He is a liar, deceitful, disrespectful and pompous
c) He has been banned from the Kumawood industry

Van Vicker denies all allegations and says he is an upright professional who has featured in over 150 films worldwide and has helped bridge the gap between Ghallywood and Kumawood.
He says the video has caused him fear and anxiety, forced him to cancel business trips to Kumasi, and damaged his hard-earned reputation globally, especially as it pops up on Google search.
