Woman in critical condition after shooting incident at funeral in Yeji

A woman is in critical condition after being shot at a funeral in Tonka, a suburb of Yeji in the Pru East District of the Bono East Region.

The incident reportedly took place late on Tuesday, September 2A woman9, during the funeral of Matthias, who tragically drowned in the lake about three weeks ago.

Initially, the victim was taken to St. Mathias Hospital but has now been referred to another facility for more specialized care. A family member, Yohanes Dake, shared with Adom News that they are deliberating whether to transfer her to 37 Military Hospital in Tamale or Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

Maxwell Dunu, the Assembly Member for the Konkonmba Electoral Area, mentioned that the suspect is still at large, and he added that the community is actively aiding the police in their investigation to identify and apprehend the individual responsible.
